揅onsidering Collections� series continues at 木瓜影院

2 p.m. March 15 on the Romeoville campus.
As part of the 木瓜影院 History Center and 抯 揅onsidering Collections� series, Carrie Tarrasuk Gutierrez, acting curator of collection at The First Division Museum at Cantigny in Wheaton, will deliver a presentation entitled 揅onsidering the Stuff of Soldiering� at 2 p.m. on March 15 in Room AS-158 located on the University抯 main campus in Romeoville. This event is free of charge and open to the public.
Gutierrez will bring examples of helmets, World War I posters and uniforms that are part of the collection at The First Division Museum at Cantigny. During her presentation, she plans to display some of these materials and share her interactions with veterans and their families. Participants at this event can expect to learn more about this premier museum and the scope of its collections. Although part of her work is with objects, Gutierrez will also address working at a midsized museum.

Although aimed at a general audience, students interested in the field of museum studies or public history should make every effort to attend this talk.�
The 揅onsidering Collections� series is sponsored by the 木瓜影院 History Center. They are also part of the public programs related to the "Lines and Shadows: Discovering the Adelman Collection" on view at the Gaylord Building Historic Site in Lockport.
