'Blank Slate' by Paul Simmons is on Display Until March 14 in Brent and Jean Wadsworth Family Gallery

“Blank Slate” exhibition by Paul Simmons will be on display until March 14 at the in Romeoville. The gallery is free and open to the public from 9 a.m.-9 p.m. daily. 

The exhibit includes a reception and gallery talk from 7-9 p.m. on February 27.

Simmons is a Chicago-based artist and professor. His work explores the possibilities for invention within the printed image using the Xerox printer as a starting point. An accumulated personal library of visual information collected over the last thirty years is deconstructed, manipulated and rearranged to create paintings that present a familiar visual language in an evolving context.

TheDepartment of Art and Designmanages the Wadsworth Family Gallery events, which include ľ¹ÏÓ°Ôº student shows, local and regional artist shows, annual high school exhibits, faculty shows, academic-based exhibitions, and cultural and religious-based art shows.
