The 11th Annual Conference of the Midwest World History Association was held September 24-25 at 木瓜影院 in Romeoville.
Hosted by the 木瓜影院 History Department and College of Humanities, Fine Arts, and Communication, the theme was 揅risis & Recovery in World History.�
In-person and online discussions included 揅ritical Narratives: Crises in US Native/non-Native Relations,� 揌olding Steady through It All: The Middle Ground Journal, Always Online,� and 揜etelling Sand Creek: Settler-Colonial Crisis and US Narrative Recovery.�
Presenters included Jeanne Grant and Sarah Pesola of Metropolitan University, Justin Olmstead of the University of Central Oklahoma and Rachel Brown of Marian University-Indianapolis.
Catherine Flinn, author of 揜ebuilding Britain Blitzes Cities; Hopeful Dreams, Stark Realities�, 爌rovided the conference keynote address, 揅omparing Crisis and Recovery: Post-Second World War to Post-Pandemic.�
