History Professor Participates in National Podcast

"This Old House", the award-winning program on PBS, is expanding into podcasts, and they reached out to ľ¹ÏÓ°Ôº's Dennis H. Cremin, chair and professor of history, helped out by sharing the story of Chicago home construction history in its October 31 podcast “”.
Cremin worked with "This Old House" a few years ago on a pilot program. Kevin O'Connor remembered the historian and their conversation about the Great Chicago Fire.

At the end of August, Cremin drove to Domain Audio Services in Carol Stream, IL. "It was a fun experience. The sound engineer set me up in a recording studio, and soon Kevin O'Connor called in from Boston. The sound was so vibrant with the headphones." said Cremin. He continued, "I've been a big fan of This Old House since they came on the air 40 years ago. They do such a great job of communicating stories. You get to feel like you know all of the entire team.:"
