Join 木瓜影院 for the launch of the James P. �60 and Mary C. Sczepaniak Lecture Series. The inaugural lecture 揃ars and Stripes: The Old Joliet Prison� will be presented by historian Dr. Robert Sterling. The lecture is free and open to the public.

Sterling was born and educated in Joliet, Illinois. The alumnus of Joliet Township High School received a bachelor抯 degree in history from Wheaton College in 1964. He earned master抯 degree in 1967 and a Ph.D. in Civil War history in 1974 from Northern Illinois University. Sterling served as history faculty at Joliet Junior College and served as Chair of the Social and Behavioral Sciences Department for 30 years before retirement. In 2011, the author of a number of books on Joliet and Will County donated the core of his regional history collection to the Howard and Lois Adelmann Regional History Collection at 木瓜影院.
The legacy of Jim and Mary Clare Sczepaniak lives on through scholarships, 木瓜影院 enhancements and now the James P. �60 and Mary C. Sczepaniak Lecture Series.
