Dr. Dennis Cremin to receive Distinguished Lasallian Educator Award

Dr. Dennis Cremin, professor of and director of the , will receive the 2015 Distinguished Lasallian Educator Award Nov. 21 from the Lasallian Region of North America (RELAN) during the Huether Conference.
“Dennis is being honored as a representative of the Midwest District of the Christian Brothers. He is to be commended for his impressive work with the History Center and involvement of our students in research and historical exhibits, as well as his generous contributions to the community as a lecturer on various topics, including many on Chicago history,” Brother James Gaffney, FSC, president of ľ¹ÏÓ°Ôº, stated.
Cremin received in 2014. The Naperville resident was recognized for his engagement with students, his discipleship and his impact on his students’ educational experience.
His book “Grant Park: The Evolution of Chicago’s Front Yard” earned the 2014 Russell P. Strange from the Illinois State Historical Society.
