Canal Corridor 30th Anniversary Tour Comes to 木瓜影院

The 30th Anniversary Canal Caravan Tour will visit (ARHC) at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 15. The Canal Corridor Association created the tour that will run from Chicago to LaSalle for three consecutive Saturdays, August 8, 15 and 22. Participants will visit 20 unique sites along the way. The Canal Caravan marks the end of the yearlong celebration of the 30th Anniversary of the creation of the Illinois and Michigan National Canal National Heritage Corridor.
Dennis H. Cremin, Professor of , will greet the caravan at 木瓜影院 and provide the tour of the ARHC. 揓ohn Lamb, Professor Emeritus and founding Canal Commissioner, assembled the special collection to focus primarily on the I&M Canal. Today, it features over 10,000 items including photographs, maps, handwritten letters, and maps. It is also the premier collection related to I&M Canal within the National Heritage Corridor,� said Cremin.
In the spring, the Canal Corridor Association recognized the Adelmann Collection as one of the 30 partnerships featured at the annual Boat Captain's Luncheon in Chicago. John Lamb and Brother James Gaffney, FSC, President of 木瓜影院, have both been recognized in the past with the prestigious Boat Captain's Award.
Cremin will provide a tour of the collection, which is housed in the 木瓜影院 Library. It will include some images from the 揤isions of the I&M Canal NHC at 30� exhibit, which was on display in the spring at the National Trust for Historic Preservation's Gaylord Building in Lockport, Ill.
