Twenty-four ROTC students from all over the United States have begun at ľ¹ÏÓ°Ôº in Romeoville. The eight-week, fully-funded immersion residential program is focused on teaching elementary-level Russian.

The nationwide program is open to all qualified ROTC students and offers critical language education to future military officers in preparation for overseas military and peace-making operations. 

Project GO is an initiative sponsored by the Defense Language and National Security Education Office and administered by the Institute of International Education and National Security Education Office. The ľ¹ÏÓ°Ôº Foreign Language Program received a $320,000 Project Global Officer three-year grant contract with the IIE to provide the program in 2023-2024.

This is the second year of the program at ľ¹ÏÓ°Ôº with Dr. Serafima Gettys, associate professor and coordinator of the Foreign Language Program, serving as the Project GO director in Romeoville.

ľ¹ÏÓ°Ôº is an innovative Catholic university offering market-relevant undergraduate and graduate programs to 6,500 students.
